Tongue Tie /Frenectomy Release

A tongue tie/lip tie release (frenectomy) is performed when abnormal or excessively tight bands of connective tissue restrict tongue or lip mobility. Addressing growth, hygiene, and speech complications, we perform frenectomy procedures on patients as young as seven years old, using a guided laser to carefully release the tissue and restore mobility. For most patients, the recovery time takes approximately one week.

The frenectomy procedure is conducted using a laser to release the tight connective tissue. Lasers help maximize accuracy, minimize discomfort, and reduce post-operative bleeding. While frenectomy procedures typically take around 40 minutes, times may vary based on individual patient conditions. Following the procedure, patients are provided with mobility exercises to aid in their full recovery.
